Restylane is a FDA-approved dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all living organisms and provides volume and fullness to the skin. What’s more, it’s a non-animal substance and will slowly biodegrade on its own. This means, long term effects for your facial beauty goals.
How it Works
A meeting with your Aesthetic RN will help you determine what type of filler is best suitable for your skin type and needs. If Restylane is decided upon, you can decide whether Restylane Silk (used for a gentle plumping of the lips), Restylane Lift (used to fill in smile lines and hollow cheeks to provide a more youthful appearance), or both would be the best course of action. Once the treatment is completed you are usually free to go about your day as normal. Restylane treatments usually last up to 6 months!
Is it Safe?
Not everyone is a candidate for all fillers. Be sure to discuss all health related matters with your Aesthetic RN prior to your appointment, including all allergies. Following the treatment, you may experience mild redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching or discoloration at the injection sites. These moderate symptoms will usually go away within 1-4 weeks depending on which Restylane filler you were treated with.
Please call us so that we can talk together about how Restylane could help you look as beautiful as you feel.
